Drawing on varied classical and folk influences Patrick Walker's music remains strongly rooted in tradition while also exploring the boundaries of what it means to make music in the 21st century. His works are accessible, and emotionally powerful while also being fresh and contemporary. Patrick has recently received commissions from the American Guild of Organist's Boston Chapter and the Juventas New Music Ensemble. Since 2013 his work 

has been performed by the Boston University Symphony Orchestra, Evgeniy Kogan, Vassar Mahagonny EnsembleHeinrich Christensen, Cygnus TrioJuventas New Music Ensemble and others. His Symphony no. 1 won the Jean Slater Edson prize in 2015. Patrick holds a MM in Composition and Organ Performance from Boston University where he studied with Ketty Nez and Richard Cornell. He received his BA in Music from Vassar College in 2015 where he studied composition with Richard Wilson and Jonathan Chenette, and has studied privately with Daron Hagen
